More than $700 raised at first open mic and cookout

Lincoln Park hosted its first open mic and cookout event of the 2017-18 school year, which raised more than $700 to support student activities and prom.

The event took place during lunches on Friday, Sept. 29. Students and staff took part with live musical performances and food. In addition to grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, chips, candy, and pop were also available for purchase.

Future events are being planned for the spring.

All proceeds benefit the LPPACS student council and the LPPACS 2018 prom.
