Lincoln Park hosts PMEA District 5 High School Chorus Festival
Western Pennsylvania’s top student vocalists will converge on Midland Feb. 6-8 as Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School hosts the PMEA District 5 High School Chorus Festival for the first time.
Fifteen students from the host school will be among 187 singers representing 41 school districts throughout Beaver, Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties.
Three days of practice and instruction will culminate in a public concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, in Lincoln Park’s mainstage theater under the baton of guest conductor Dr. Susan Medley of Washington and Jefferson College. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
Dr. Marissa Ulmer said Lincoln Park is honored to be hosting the event.
“We appreciate the chance to show colleagues and students our school’s beautiful campus, especially the music education facility in newly constructed Alumni Hall,” said Dr. Ulmer. She is Lincoln Park director of choirs and host director of the festival.
