Lincoln Park junior’s performance at the WPIAL AA swimming championships
A Lincoln Park junior’s performance at the WPIAL AA swimming championships has earned her a place at the upcoming PIAA state championship.
Angela Patarini’s 200-yard medley relay team finished fifth place and her 200-yard freestyle relay team finished in first place, qualifying for the PIAA swim championships during the meet at the University of Pittsburgh’s Trees Pool.
Patarini, an Emsworth resident, competes on the Northgate High School team. This marks the first WPIAL Class AA team championship for the girls. For Patarini, this is her first PIAA championship, which will take place March 13-16 at Bucknell University.
A musical theater major, she is the daughter of Chris and Lisa Patarini of Emsworth.
