Four Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School media majors will have their art work featured in a pop-up holiday art market through mid-December.
Artists Mason Zabrucky, Alyssa Hoy, Lauren Kovolenko and Dawson Rauch, all juniors, appeared Thursday night at the opening reception for the Ambridge Historic District Holiday Art Pop-Up market. The reception also featured Leah Whitacre, sophomore, who sang songs and performed on the ukulele.
The holiday art market, which features 14 area artists, runs every weekend through Dec. 18 at the former Silk House building, 317 14th St., located in the historic district of Ambridge.
Visitors can stop by to browse or shop from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Paintings, jewelry, postcards, sculptures, photography, and textile weaving are among the items on display at the show hosted by the Ambridge Historic District Economic Development Corp.
According to co-chairs Connie Kovolenko and Roberta Scuilli, the goal is to showcase the talents of artists while drawing attention to the amenities of Ambridge’s historic district this holiday season.
