A Lincoln Park junior’s swimming performance at the PIAA state championship helped the girls swim team set a new school record.
Angela Patarini’s 200-yard freestyle relay team finished in fifth place at the PIAA swim championships, which took place March 13-16 at Bucknell University in Lewisburg.
Patarini, an Emsworth resident, competes on the Northgate High School team. The 200-yard freestyle relay team finished 1:38.93, setting a new school record. This was Patarini’s first time competing in the PIAA championship, where she also earned an event entry in the 200 medley relay. The girls team finished the meet in ninth place overall.
A musical theater major, she is the daughter of Chris and Lisa Patarini of Emsworth.
