Girls basketball player averaged 15 points per game
A standout Lincoln Park Performing Arts sophomore made the WPIAL All-Section girls basketball team for the 2017-18 season.
Riley Arrigo, point guard, was named to the WPIAL Class 5A Section 1 team. She is the first Lincoln Park girls basketball player to earn First Team All-Section since the athletic program began four years ago.
Riley averaged a team-leading 15 points per game, ending the season on a high note.
“I think it was good,” Arrigo said of her season. “We definitely have a lot of growing to do as a team. We’re young, so I think we have a lot of potential for the future.”
Lady Leopards head coach Bill Minear said Arrigo will continue to be a force next season. Lincoln Park has 11 players on its 2017-18 girls basketball roster.
“Riley is one of the most talented, hardest working student-athletes at Lincoln Park. We are expecting big things from her in the future,” Minear said.
Riley, a health science major, is the daughter of Philip and Amy Arrigo of Beaver Falls.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
