Five Lincoln Park music students recently participated in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Western Regional Orchestra Festival, where two seniors were selected by audition to perform with the All-State Orchestra in April.
Seniors Hannah Litz (viola), Colby Hill (percussion), Audrey Jobe (violin), and Lindsey Schramm (violin), as well as sophomore Faith Holcomb (cello), all attended the regional festival February 21-23 in Hollidaysburg, Pa.
The event is part of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association festivals for high school students, where student musicians from half the state rehearse and perform a concert together. Students must audition in order to participate.
Litz and Hill earned the honor to attend the All-State Festival and perform with the PMEA State Orchestra from April 4 to 6 in Pittsburgh. This is the third state invitation for Litz and the first for Hill.
“We are proud of all of our students who made it to the regional and state festivals,” said Dr. Todd Goodman, director of creativity and innovation.
